Women's 1st clinch the Premier Division title

A 3-1 win over Limerick in the final round seals back-to-back league titles for the women's senior squad.

A composed performance from the women's 1st team on Saturday evening at DCU Arena clinched the National Volleyball League Premier Division title — their second in a row.

After dropping the opening set 22-25, head coach Aoife Murphy made a tactical switch in the receive line that paid immediate dividends. The team responded with three straight sets (25-19, 25-21, 25-18) to seal the championship in front of a packed home crowd.

"I'm so proud of this group," Murphy said. "We talked all season about staying calm under pressure and tonight they delivered."

Captain Síle Ní Bhriain led the scoring with 18 points, while libero Niamh Crowley turned in a player-of-the-match performance with a 73% reception efficiency.

The squad will now turn their attention to the Cup Final on May 5th.
